Data and Insight Executive

Salary: £24,000-£26,000

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Angel, Islington

Reporting to: Performance and Impact Manager

 

Overview and purpose of the role

As part of the Performance and Operations team, the Data & Insight Executive will sit at the heart of the organization. They will manage, analyse, interpret and present data and information, most of it recorded on our CRM system, to optimise the quality of delivery, so that the organization can maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the Performance and Operations, Delivery and Fundraising and Communications teams have all the data, analyses and reports they need to deliver and monitor our programme timely and effectively, and share our success with current and potential funders. Additionally, they will manage the CRM system to make sure it is the most impactful tool that it can be for relationship management, case management and impact assessment.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

Facilitate the use of data to guide decision-making on programme delivery and design:

 

·         Use data to monitor delivery and outcomes and identify significant patterns and inconsistencies to inform conversations around performance management, programme design, delivery and reporting

·         ‘Delve deeper’ into programme data to understand trends highlighted by staff

·         Help ThinkForward’s Fundraising and Communications team to understand and effectively communicate using ThinkForward’s impact data

·         Work directly with colleagues to help develop data literacy when needed

 

Carry out bespoke reporting, research and analysis of data:

 

·           Produce ad hoc analysis of data recorded on the programme in response to specific queries from the staff team

·           Produce presentations and visualisations of impact and performance data according to user specifications as required

·           Assist external research and evaluation processes as required

 

Manage ThinkForward’s CRM system

·           Manage all aspects of ThinkForward’s CRM system, CiviCRM, including:

o    Ensure that data is added to the database in a timely and accurate manner

o    Providing support and training to the CRM users across ThinkForward’s three regions, including database induction, responding to queries, making back-end fixes where possible and troubleshooting with our database provider

 

Any other responsibilities reasonably deemed necessary by ThinkForward’s Performance and Impact Manager

 

Person specification

 

Essential characteristics, qualifications and experience:

 

·         Highly numerate and analytical, with demonstrable understanding of evaluation and impact measurement

·         Ability to collate large amounts of date from a wide range of sources

·         Ability to identify key points from a range of data outputs

·         Excellent database and Microsoft Excel skills

·         Excellent knowledge of other Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint

·         Ability to manage time effectively and deliver to regular deadlines for multiple audiences

·         Excellent attention to detail

·         Good communication skills and ability to discuss project and data outputs with internal and external colleagues

·         Highly efficient and able to quickly perform administrative tasks

Desirable:

·         Knowledge and/or experience of CRM systems

·         Knowledge and/or experience of data visualisation tools and techniques
